It occurs because of physical elements in a consumer’s structure, mainly coils and capacitors. In time, they displace the current against the voltage, so that the electric power obtained mathematically as product between voltage and current may be decomposed in two components: active power and reactive power. The reactive power shall be exchanged continuously between consumer and supplier, between coils and capacitors. As the reactive power circulates and it is not consumed, it is an alternative measure with null value. Theoretically it is considered a conventional measure.
Does the energy supplier give me permission to install reactive energy compensation equipments?
How do the compensation equipments influence my consumers? Won’t they burn down my engines?
If reactive energy is a conventional measure, why am I paying for it?
Is it legal to install reactive energy compensation equipments?
What can I do to stop paying reactive energy?
Why does reactive energy occur?
Won’t the active energy consumption increase if I install compensation equipments?
